Campsite Rules, Polices and Regulations

Reservation Rules

  • There is a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $12.00 (phone) or $10.00 (online internet) for each reservation made, which is payable at the time your reservation is confirmed.
  • A reservation can be changed or cancelled up to 24 hours prior to 2:00 pm on day of arrival. The fee for changes and cancellations is $7.00 per occurrence.
  • Campers are considered no-shows as of 8:00 pm on the day of arrival unless arrangements have been made directly with the park for late arrival.
  • A two (2) night minimum stay is required on holiday weekends.
  • The number of Additional Vehicles permitted is limited to one and it will have to be parked in a separate “designated” parking area away from your campsite.
  • Multiple reservations in the same name for the same time period are not allowed. Reservations must be made in the name of the person who is arriving to pick up the camping permit. Reservations cannot be assigned from one person to another person at the time of arrival. If a name change is required please contact the toll free park number and the $7.00 change fee will apply.

Refund Policies

  • No refunds are permitted for less than 24 hours notice and no-shows.
  • Refunds will not be issued for a shortened stay unless deemed a family catastrophe. A refund application must be completed and forwarded to the Corporate Office for processing.

Campsite Policies

  • Maximum of 6 people and 2 pieces of shelter equipment and only one of these pieces can be for sleeping accommodations.
  • Campsite check-in time is 2:00 pm and check-out time is before 2:00 pm.
  • Campers must not deface, damage, destroy or remove any property, plants, animals or natural objects in conservation areas. This includes the cutting of live branches and the use of dead wood in surrounding area for firewood.
  • Drinking or possessing alcohol off your registered campsite or as prohibited by a total alcohol ban is not permitted. Alcohol ban in effect Victoria Day long weekend.
  • The use of motorized vehicles will be confined to the areas as designated and must conform to the Highway Traffic Act.
  • Excessive noise at any time or disturbing other people is prohibited.
  • Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
  • Hunting is permitted in designated areas only.
  • This reservation is subject to the Conservation Authorities Act, Ontario Regulations 109/90.

Firewood Alert

Please help us protect our forests. Moving firewood, even just a few kilometres away can spread invasive insects such as the Emerald Ash Borer to our forests. If bringing firewood into the conservation area please buy and burn local firewood only. Firewood can be purchased at your conservation area. Any remaining firewood shall not leave the conservation area.

Visitors

  • All visitors to the campground must purchase a day use pass and park in designated parking areas. Visitors are admitted during the normal hours of the park.
  • Hours may be restricted at other times at the discretion of the Supervisor/Designate.
  • Visitors must vacate property by 11:00 pm nightly.

Pavilion Rentals

  • Call the park to inquire about booking a pavilion.
  • The Park Supervisor must approve prior to set-up all signs and decorations for locations, as well as method of installation.
  • No amplified music permitted.

Youth Group Camping

  • Reservations must be made at each individual park.
  • Groups who plan to use any of the Authority's lands or facilities must make reservations to ensure that there is no conflicting use.
  • Youth group camping reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Youth group camping is intended for youth organizations or at the discretion of the Park Supervisor.

General Information

  • Beach and swimming areas are unsupervised. Use at your own risk. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child's safety.
  • Inflatable toys and swimming aids are not permitted at any LPRCA swimming area.
  • No refunds unless authorized by the LPRCA Administration office.
  • Campers must pay to visit other conservation areas.
  • Season's passes (vehicle/camping) are not transferable.
  • Seasonal campsites are not transferable nor are they to be sublet.

Regulations

Campfires - Fires are to be built in designated areas only and only to a maximum of 1 metre in height.
Litter - Place your garbage in containers provided. Campsites must be kept clean and tidy at all times.
Pets - Please keep your pets under control and on a leash not exceeding 2 metres at all times. In addition, you must clean up after your pet. Pets are not allowed on the beach or in swimming areas.
Vending - Vending, soliciting and advertising are not allowed, except by written permission of the LPRCA.

Regulations Policy as covered under the
"Trespass to Property Act" and “Conservation Authorities Act”

Property - Do not deface, damage, destroy or remove any property, plants, animals or natural objects in conservation areas. This includes the cutting of live branches and the use of dead wood in surrounding area for firewood.
Alcohol - Drinking or possessing alcohol off your registered campsite or as prohibited by a total alcohol ban is not permitted.

Driving - Please observe the speed limits posted throughout the conservation areas. Operating motor vehicles in violation of the Highway Traffic Act or the Conservation Authorities Act is not permitted.
Additional Vehicle - One vehicle is included with your campsite fee. One additional vehicle is allowed but an additional vehicle permit must be purchased and the vehicle may have to be parked in a separate designated parking area away from your campsite.

Quiet Time - No excessive noise at any time or engaging in activities which disturb other registered patrons. Quiet time is 11:00 pm - 8:00 am. Please turn off your radios and refrain from making unnecessary noise. Visiting hours are posted at the gate.

Conduct - Rowdy behaviour, including excessive noise and obscene language will not be tolerated. No abuse of a LPRCA employee or registered patron in a conservation area.

Hunting/Fireworks - Fireworks are not permitted on Authority property. Hunting is permitted in designated areas only. Contact the LPRCA for information regarding hunting on conservation authority lands.

EVERY PERSON WHO IS NOT ACTING UNDER A RIGHT OR AUTHORITY CONFERRED BY LAW AND ENGAGES IN AN ACTIVITY ON PREMISES WHEN THE ACTIVITY IS PROHIBITED UNDER THIS ACT, IS GUILTY OF AN OFFENCE, AND UPON CONVICTION IS LIABLE TO A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN $2,000.
