DEER CREEK CONSERVATION AREA
You don’t need to go far to enjoy a feeling of northern Ontario. Discover picturesque Deer Creek Conservation Area; just a short drive north of Long Point. Come for a picnic or sleep under the stars, try a little fishing or take a refreshing dip in the reservoir. Deer Creek opened in 1969 following construction of the dam and reservoir.
The 80-acre reservoir is a focal point of the conservation area providing a boat launch, fishing docks and an unsupervised swimming area. Reservoir depth varies, with a maximum depth of between 12 and 15 metres (40 to 50 feet). Rent a canoe or launch your own small non-motorized boat.
